GIVING TO THE PARISH
We are deeply grateful for your generosity - every donation helps keep our churches thriving as places of worship, community, and support
With our Thanks
If you are considering making a regular gift for the work of the Church we thank you especially, since it is an important way to share in Christian ministry. It also enables us to build on the work of God in the parish.
Every gift made, small or large, is valued equally and contributes to our mission. It is particularly helpful to plan for the future if gifts are increased annually in line with inflation, so this is an option you will be asked about including as you proceed.
We are grateful for all those looking to provide financial provision for the Church and to those who give their time and talents to the Church. Whichever way you choose to donate, either regularly or as a one-off, please Gift Aid it if you are a UK tax payer. We receive an additional 25% on your original donation at no extra cost to you.
Regular Giving
Parish Giving Scheme
The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a simple, easy and secure way for anyone to support our on-going work financially as administered by the Church of England on behalf of Parishes. The PGS offers a secure way to give by regular Direct Debit, helping our churches to receive money and Gift Aid payments in a timely manner thus improving cashflow. The Parish Giving Scheme helps to increase our confidence in long-term planning and decrease our administrative burden.

How you can help?
Switching how you pay - If you already give by Standing Order via your bank or give via cash envelopes, switching to PGS is simple.
Set Up Regular Payments – these help us plan for the future allowing us to release funds more quickly to support what we as a church need.
What’s Next?
There are various ways to donate through the PGS. You can set up your direct debit online, or fill in a physical paper Gift Form, or call the PGS team directly and they will help you set it up.
One off donations
If you wish to make a singular or one off payment you can also do this via the PGS. Codes you may need are: Wargrave - 270627491 or Knowl Hill - 270627381, which both sit under the Diocese of Oxford.

The Parish of Wargrave with Knowl Hill relies primarily on the generous contributions of its members to fund its clergy, staff salaries, and property maintenance. Additional income is generated through the commercial rental of parish facilities, which are made available to local charities and businesses. This revenue helps support the upkeep and enhancement of these spaces.
Each year, a comprehensive financial report, including audited accounts and the annual budget, is prepared and shared at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The Parochial Church Council (PCC), elected by the congregation, carefully reviews and approves all expenditures throughout the year, ensuring transparent and responsible financial management.
The Parish also dedicates 10% of its income to support mission partners and projects both within the UK and internationally. In response to specific needs, such as disasters or special missionary initiatives, additional one-time offerings are occasionally collected, supplementing the regular giving of the parish community.
